I am in shock

One of my best friends has just died.

For those of you who knew sharonmarais, her husband, John just called me to tell me of her death and ask me to let people in fandom know.

She had the bug that all of us have been fighting off. Felt a little better and returned to work (in a hospital no less) and then felt really horrid on Thursday night. She went to the docs, who told her it was just a virus and to go home and rest.

It was meningitis, and it killed her. She died yesterday at 2:15pm UK time in the hospital at Cambridge.

OMG that is really tragic news, I didn't know her but have seen her name around lj.

I've known her for years. She'd come stay here in Vancouver with me, and I'd go home and stay in Cambridge with her. We spent last May stalking Steve, Jason and Riley around England, and this November she came over here to stalk Jensen and Jared. I will miss her soooo much.
