I am in shock
One of my best friends has just died.

sharonmarais, her husband, John just called me to tell me of her death and ask me to let people in fandom know.
She had the bug that all of us have been fighting off. Felt a little better and returned to work (in a hospital no less) and then felt really horrid on Thursday night. She went to the docs, who told her it was just a virus and to go home and rest.
It was meningitis, and it killed her. She died yesterday at 2:15pm UK time in the hospital at Cambridge.

I met her once at the Jason Manns gig in Portsmouth, she was so nice.

We spent last May stalking Steve, Jensen and Riley around England, and then she came over here so we could stalk Jensen and Jared. I am glad she got to meet them all before she died.
