Lest We Forget
I don't usually get personal, but I am feeling particularly emotional today.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
I wish the image were bigger, but I couldn't find a bigger one. I am posting this in memory of Squadron Leader F. J. Gow. Rest in peace, Dad. I miss you so much.

BTW the episode tonight was so awkward and funny, Becky is so damaged and yet you want to hug her at the same time. Sam was funny. That sassy demon was really enjoyable!

And I remember you grumbling about them whenever Onci rants about SPN fandom on her LJ :)
Crowley's scruff was.... unexpected!! The dude is getting rough :) I wish the Winchesters could get scruffier too for that matter (and shorten those side-fucking-burns, Sam!

Maybe it isn't hair. Maybe it's some weird fungus that is gradually taking Jared over...
Cue the spooky music!

Yeah. And next week looks like an XFiles episode in the forest! :) I hope they invested in a good nasty monster suit à la Wendigo and not a human with funky lenses and a bad hair day :)

We had two minutes silence at the shopping centre I was shopping in yesterday. It was veryyyy moving since there was a military last post bugle call and parade of old WW2 veterans, there's less and less of them taking part every year. Some people in the crowd were crying and everyone applauded the veterans.

Here, there is a naval base across the inlet from my office, and they fired the cannon every minute for a half hour, and then there was a flypast.
My Dad was a veteran who marched on Remembrance day until he died last year. It really came home to me today. I'm glad that people do remember. They should.

He told me about climbing Mt. Fuji. Young and strong it took him 8 hours to go up and apparently at that time they slid down the opposite face on their butts in 45 minutes. It took all the soles off his shoes.
I tried to get him to tell me more through the years but he kept his own counsel on these things.
Yes, missing my dad too, dear lady.
