Jensen and Jared are in love...

So, breakfast was good, and there was enough, which made us all happy, even though it was ass-crack o' clock and we were all running on empty. They had a silent auction, and there was a SN script signed by everyone including Kripke that I coveted, but unfortunately lacked the thousands of dollars to purchase.
And it came to pass that when Jensen and Jared arrived, I was awake, and had eaten enough that my circulation had restarted. They came in and began to do their regular double act, and Jared hogged the conversation like he does while Jensen stood there with a dreamy smile on his face. After a minute or so I realised that he was peacefully, blissfully sleeping, and that he has somehow perfected the art of standing up while he does it.
You've all seen the video of the boys doing their thing, both at breakfast, and during the day, so I won't repeat it all. Suffice it to say that Jensen drank a whole shitload of coffee and managed to get his eyes tracking by the time they left for their photo sessions. The two of them have effortless timing together, and it's obvious how much they like each other, and how much they understand each other. They make my slashy heart go pitapat when they feed each other comic lines, knowing exactly what to say and when to pause for the other to chip in with a punch line. They may not be lovers, but they sure are soulmates.
The next little while after breakfast was the wait in line for photo-op with Jensen, with the "Will he get to us or run out of time" thing biting the back of my neck. He did get to us.

Damn! He's so beautiful. He always seems so much more finely drawn in real life than on TV, although once in a while there's a photo that captures it. He gave me a smile and said howdy. I blinked when the photo was taken, and was pulled back for a second one (I know. Awww!) and I apologised to him profusely. He said, "Can't be helped. Happens to me all the time. Could happen to anyone." Then he went back to sleep, and I thanked him and went off in my dazed fangirly way. He didn't snore.
Once again, the stage presentations for both boys have been posted, so all I'll say is that I got to ask my question of Jensen very early on. (It was, how do you get rid of all the angst Dean has to go through? Initially he grinned and said, "Drink like a fish." but then he went on to give me a full answer. Yay.)
It was over too fast. I wanted to make them come back, but the sight of the four 300lb minders that flanked the boys was enough to remind me that I should stay in my seat. And then it was time for the autographs. Standing in line, a girl called my name and confused me utterly, by telling me she was Susan. I thought I was Susan, but apparently not! She turned out to be the very gracious
ailurophile6, who has been known to beta for me, so there were hugs. Then I filed out looking for the boys and their autographs.
The two of them were together at the table, first Jared, then Jensen, and as I was standing in line, Daneel Harris came out of the autograph room with her suitcase and one of the organizers was detailed to lead her to the front of the hotel. Maybe she's directionally challenged, but she's certainly very pretty. As we got into the room, I spotted Sandy sitting watching the milling throng, looking as though she was sleepy too. She had on a bright yellow tunic that looked good on her, but which would give me a headache to wear. The boys were signing fast, and there was little time for other than, "Hi, how're you doing, thank you," although the girl in front of me had a photo of Jared, Jensen, Mike Rosenberg and Tom Welling posing with Dawn Ostroff to be signed, and Jared told her to show it to Sandy, because she has a crush. I wasn't sure if it was Tom or Mike she has a crush on, but heh!
I got my autographs and headed out to look for food, because it was a really long time since breakfast.
Food was not to be. Sad looking sandwiches for $8:75 each? I don't think so.
I went back to the room, where both roomies were making snoring noises and geared up for Steve's Q&A session. I scored an empty front row seat for the Q&A, and took a bunch of photos with a crappy, disposable camera, because mine had kicked the bucket earlier. I don't have them back yet because I am scared to look at the tragic efforts, but I took a ton of Steve. I kinda thought he'd be taken aback by the Q&A, but was I ever wrong. The boy is charming, funny, mischievous and interesting. I got in the first question. How do we get him to play Vancouver. He confessed he'd been to hang out with Jensen a few times. (My stories! I knew they were true! LOL) He said that he and Jensen had discussed him going up to play a club, but it depends on the writers' strike. Damn, but I hope that writers' strike is won and over soon. Then the other questions began and he told us about the movie he made with Chris Kane - indicated that his opinion of it wasn't high. He told us about his acting career, which he said was totally accidental and made us all laugh.
He was asked about his guilty pleasures in music and said, "Kelly Clarkson!" His favourite band is the Beatles, and he really doesn't care for much new stuff, although he did name Paolo Nutini as a singer he enjoys. He prefers singer/songwriters, as you might expect. Someone asked him why he didn't sing, "Come Around More, Alabama." and he said that Jensen hadn't been feeling too great the previous night, which is why he stayed in the back of the hall. Then he said, "And listen, I played 17 songs for you guys, and you're still nagging for more."
It's because we love you, Steve.
So when his Q&A session ended, he settled down at the side of the stage to sign autographs for us. Lots and lots of autographs. He gave hugs and chatted and hung out and was just adorable all over the place.
I found
splashpink and gave her a little love, and also
cloex_brosluvr, but missed a couple of folks I wanted to look up. I'd been sitting right behind
runedgirl all along, which was fun, and
ckll was just behind me, so I got to say hi and chat a little.
He was still there when Mark Lutz came on. That man should carry some kind of government health warning, because he is a seriously funny guy, and just about choked me several times. He kind of pulled Steve (still down at the side of the stage, signing busily) into his act. "Me and Steve used to be together, but we couldn't agree on the furniture..." etc. Steve took it all in good part, and it was funny. I do recall Mark saying he started out in improv. I believed him. Someone asked him what his hobby was, and he shot back, "I do a lot of work with unwed mothers!"
And then we were done. I went out for dinner with
delmar_slashers and her friend, and when I came back, the photos were ready. Eventually, we gathered in the hotel room and deconstructed, packed ready to leave and finally fell asleep.
We were up early,
digital_opium and I, to get to the airport for flights. I finally made it home into the biggest windstorm ever and felt damned lucky to touch the ground.
Sleep followed.
Much, much sleep.
Move over, Jensen...
