Well, the little slinky mesmerises you and then a really huge slinky will plop down on you and cover you up, and when it slinks away, you are gone. This is how the human race will meet its end... Not with a bang, but a slink!
I know, right! It lulls you... and then, while you're all spaced out, the BIG slinky will come along and cover you up, and when it moves on, you will be gone!
ahahahaha - OMG, i used this same analogy years ago when i said i felt as if i was on a treadmill but wasn't losing any weight! i feel your pain, my friend.

Pretty good, thanks. Just frustrated by work. We're migrating our databases to different servers, and things keep breaking, which means I have angry customers calling me up to abuse me, because, after all, it's my fault! Also I'm working with a pairing I just don't feel, because someone bought me in a charity auction, and it feels like pulling teeth.
But I have shiny new eyeballs, and a 3 day weekend coming up, so yay!
It's those pesky clients that cause the problems... and the damned software writers who keep on tweaking stuff just when we think we've got it all in order.
And it won't belong now before they're back in town and I can go look for pretty ones to admire...
Isn't work fun when databases crash? Our IT guy, (who is a sweetie) came in one day to "update" my computer, but in doing so, removed my whole payroll program and it was a week and a half before it was put back. Thank goodness for a bac-up computer.
I am sorry about the pairing - how awkward that must be if you are not enjoying that experience! Hopefully, it will be all over soon.
Your shiny new eyeballs sound intriguing! LOL! I am so looking forward to the three day weekend as well! I am hopefully going to "chill." :D I am doing fine, thanks! Just routine - work, home, work, home! LOL! I feel like that slinky on the treadmill!
See, the servers didn't crash exactly, but the damned software developers keep on tweaking things and putting the old address in, so parts of the database go down until people call in, shrieking because it's all about them! Don't they know it isn't all about them? It's all about ME, dammit!
Hopefully we'll be sorted out today, but I am really looking forward to that 3 day weekend. I have a lot of planting to do.
And I am about 200 emotionally charged words away from getting Jensen and Chad out of my hair - stunning visual that, a hair full of Chad. *shudder* Once I can kiss it goodbye, I will be very happy.
Still, we have sunshine today, which bodes well for the weekend, and I am awake, so let's get Friday over with and move straight to that weekend. Enjoy your chilling. Sometimes that's the best thing ever.
LOL!! YOU tell them, Sue!!! It IS all about you!!! LOL!!! I bet you have alot of interesting stories to tell about dealing with the public!
I had a nice day today - I went shopping - for myself - which I haven't done in awhile! Nice, sunny day and it was fun! :D More chillin' coming up!
I am looking forward to reading your stories. My RL has been in turmoil lately and I have been preoccupied with things, but I have a feeling that your stories will take me to fun places!! Did you pair Jensen WITH Chad in one of your stories? I wish my creative writing juices were still flowing. It was fun to do that when I could and I admire all of you and the long hours you put into writing these amazing stories and then sharing them with all of us!
Any time you wanna hear dumb customer stories, I haz them! LOL
Yes, Chad Michael Murray was the lucky recipient of Jensen Ackles in the thing I just posted. The person who bought the story wanted it, and I tried my hardest! I hope it works.
I hope your writing-fu returns to you someday. I am compulsive about it, and don't think I could stop if I tried. It may not be great writing or deathless prose, but I guess it keeps me off the street!
I daren't go shopping at the moment. My bank balance is severely depleted until I get the money back from my insurance for my eye surgery. I'm hoping it comes back by Vancon. I'm sure there will be things there I want to buy.
